Why I won't be Stacey's Mom

written by Linda Mains

I have to write this fast...because I'm going to be late. But I really need to write. Anarchy means different things to different people. But since I was a stripper and I did that career for 12 years let me explain to you what anarchy means to me. It seems to me that everybody wants to look like the supper rich these days. Now I was born into wealth, so wealthy people are rather boring to me. I mean if you have to have a pair of bug-eyed glasses you know the kind, the kind that cover your whole face, or if you have to have supper long hair because you saw Angelina Jolie with long dark hair, or if you have to have designer clothes and Mercedes Benz-es so you can feel good about yourself. All I have to say is...you're f*cking pathetic.

I live in California, and I don't know how many of these upper class idiots I've had the misfortune of meeting. So yesterday, while I was walking down the street, because I want to get skinny the natural way. I walked by the gas station, now there where 3 hot girls, who looked like they thought they where way hotter then they where, which is not unusual for California. Anyway one of these chicks had a full sleeve tattoo, I had to trip because you know that she didn't have the full sleeve tattoo for the right reasons. That chick was no more rebel, then your 90 year old grandma or grandpa. She probably had gotten it, because in this dumb sluts mind, she thought that it made her look hotter. WHATEVER? Now her friend who was driving who either was boning down of some old man to pay for that Mercedes Benz or she is charging by the hour, for her services rendered? Either way, these three chicks, where doing the exact opposite of what they wanted. No one, and I mean no one, can really give a shit, about some materialistic trend following, money grubbing whore.

I almost wanted scream out..."so whats it like to love being a whore?" I mean these chicks, seemed so proud about their whore status. It's funny to me, but the real Angelina Joline's of the world, don't act like they are better then everyone else. Why? Because real fame, allows a person to be real. Why? Because when you actually have something called talent, which is something that is deeper then skin deep. You won't have to have the Mercedes Benz all the time, or the big giant framed glasses. Why? Because you'll be secure with yourself in knowing that you can be real with people, and you'll realize that all of those stupid materialistic things, really don't matter to anyone...to anyone except you. After people have been rich and famous for awhile, they start to realize that they have something called talent, and talent transcends popular trends, and really famous people are the trend setters. I personally want to be a trend setter, and not some mindless robot, that follows all the popular trends that I read in a fashion magazine somewhere. If you're one of those types of chicks, and you're your own personal version of shallow hall...one day, when you wake up empty at the age of 40 something. Just like in the song Stacey's mom. You know Stacey's mom was stuck in the 80's, and couldn't change, because she like you have been trapped in your own personal fashion hell, and since your fashion wasn't timeless, because, fashion is constantly changing and you had no style of your own; one day you woke up at 40 something, to find out like your Cabana Glasses, you and your style have grown stale.

I'm older, and I have seen many of my chick friends grow old. Why? Because they followed other peoples trends, and styles, and never had their own style. I believe that Anarchy rules, and I will always be myself, and I will never follow trends, or what other people think is popular. I love the trend setters and I personally can't stand the shallow trend and fashion followers. If you're one of these chicks or even a guy who acts this way, do the entire world and yourself a favor and change. Here's a clue, try this...it's called being yourself! Discover how freeing it is to try what ever style you like. Don't participate in what the media tells you is cool. Be yourself, and you will become way cooler then following what some anorexic model, in some big fashion corporation, tells you is cool.
