Greek Tragedy And Nuclear Genocide

I just saw a movie called Immortals and that movie really made me think. Before there were films, T.V., radio, and all the other forms of entertainment that we (immortal-mortals) have now...all we had was story telling. We told stories, stories that have been passed down, from one generation to the next. Stories, which were about brave men like Theseus, and some of the other great Greek Gods; along with all of their wonderful very entertaining stories.

Does anyone remember the Greek-tail about the four men that where chained to a cave floor and forced to watch their shadows on that cave wall? Does anyone remember what became of those men? Well when they were finally set free, they couldn't make heads or tails about what was real and what wasn't real. Don't those four men remind everyone reading this, of a lot of people that live in our society right now? Those four men remind me of every single person in our society who believes all the News that they are hearing now and the news from the past; hook line and sinker.

Right now, it seems that we are living in a very perilous time people. Many countries have nuclear weapons; America, Russia, the United Kingdom, France and the Chinese Nations. Along with the ones conducting nuclear testing are India, Pakistan, and North Korea. It is also believed that Israel does possess nuclear weapons (Wikipedia). Now most of us here in America and the rest of the world, know that the U.S dropped the first bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6th 1945 and the second on August 9th 1945 (Wikipedia). In the movie the Immortals, man fought man with spears, swords and daggers…man fought tooth and nail during wars, because killing was meant to be done by men, not nuclear bombs. Would the immortals or Theseus have killed 90,000-160,000 (Wikipedia) innocent people, like the U.S had done, by dropping a nuclear bomb in Hiroshima? But then after the first nuclear bomb was dropped, do you think that the immortals or Theseus would have dropped another nuclear bomb on Nagasaki, killing 60,000 to 80,000 (Wikipedia) more innocent people? Is there any honor in any war, where a nuclear device does the killing?

The sheeple in our society have been brain washed by our political power junkies in Washington, just like those 4 Greek men chained up in that cave, to believe all the medias lies. Lies; that those people in Japan in 1945, had to die, threw death by nuclear bombings, or we never would have won our war with Japan. But was death threw burning the skin off babies, mothers, fathers or anyone, a honorable win for the United States? Could that type of win ever be an honorable win for any country to achieve during any war? Yea we hated the Jap’s, as they were called in 1941, and because the Jap’s pulled a sneak attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th in 1945, we dropped two nuclear bombs on those people’s heads. Now here’s the problem I’m having with this, and always will have about what we did to Japan in 1945. We won a war, and saved the Jewish survivors of the Holocaust by liberating those poor unfortunate victims in 1943; only to go on to kill threw death, by nuclear bomb in japan, over 168,000 people. Does that make any sense to anyone? Is this what our long gone heroes would have done? Do you think any heroes like Theseus or any Greek hero period; would have killed innocent women, children and old people, to win any war?

I really don’t believe in using any type of nuclear device to end any type of war. I personally didn’t sign up with the military. So I didn’t give up my rights to live a full life. So for any country to say; that they will forfeit my God given right, to live to grow old, over any dispute that they may be having with any other country…by dropping a nuclear bomb on my head, is unacceptable to me and should be to you too. A nuclear bomb, which would also end the lives of thousands, if not millions of people in another country or other countries; is not fair! It’s not fair to you or to me, and it’s not fair to humanity as a whole. Only crazy people, and not the immortals or the hero’s in the world, would want to partake in such an insane calamity.

The ancient Greeks loved and lived life to the fullest, even with deceases, and with a life expectancy of only 35 years. The immortals that they believed in, where young and beautiful, they were also righteous, and they also fought the good fight against evil. Now what we did to Japan by killing 160,000 innocent people threw a nuclear bomb death, has weakened us as a righteous God loving people, it has also dirtied what America stands for. Plus dropping nuclear bombs on any old person, any young helpless babies, or the weak and infirmed, is anything but honorable or righteous, and there is never a good enough reason for such an extreme act of violence against any race or people; EVER! I solely believe that nuclear weapons; need to be banned and that every country that has them, really needs to destroy them…now, before it’s too late! Too many innocent people have already died by the use of these weapons. Let’s stop making this beautiful planet a giant cemetery, let’s end the killing and destruction. Every one of us has a claim in stopping the use of nuclear weapons; so that the future of our children, and that of our descendants will be secured and safe. Let’s save humanity and the planet, by ending anymore deaths, threw the use of nuclear weapons.

I really believe that the ancients, and the immortals, along with our past and future hero’s, would never really want to participate in the use of any nuclear weapons; ever! Why? Well we were so proud of defeating the Nazis; because they were the greatest evil of the 20th century which mankind has ever seen. So what does America go and do after defeating Hitler, it goes and does something even Hitler may have thought about doing, but didn’t get to do, simply because he knew he lost the war, and then committed suicide. So we took over where the evil had stopped, and went and did what Hitler would have done, if he had been giving the chance. We dropped a nuclear bomb on innocent Japanese people’s heads. Whatever you call it…I call it what it was, I call it evil, and it makes us no different than the Nazis that we helped to defeat. Essentially what we did to Japan by dropping two nuclear bombs, had cancelled out all the good that we did for Europe. Look, Jewish victims of the Holocaust where innocent, and the Japanese victims caused by the dropping of the first two nuclear bombs, where also innocent. Genocide is genocide people! I really don’t think it matters, weather you use ovens with poisonous gas to kill people, or nuclear bombs to do it! KILLING IS KILLING! It’s never an honorable righteous act, to kill innocent people…no matter what the reason.

The military will claim that dropping those nuclear bombs on Japan, saved thousands of soldier’s lives on the ground in America. Except those men in uniform, had signed contracts, knowing that they might be called upon to die, and the people in Hiroshima and Nagasaki didn’t, and never wanted to die in those two separate nuclear bomb attacks in 1945. Humanity needs to respect the dignity of life, and stop sacrificing it for illegitimate reasons…there is never a good enough reason, to drop any nuclear device on civilians; ever! I know that the Immortals, Theseus, and our other hero’s threw out history, know that it’s wrong to kill civilians in a nuclear genocide. Hopefully we will all be on the same page one day, when it comes to humanity’s futures, with abolishing the use of any nuclear devices, on any countries civilians anywhere. My last question is; “where’s the honor in dropping nuclear bombs on the heads of humanity?”
