Health Care, Veterans and Social Security

Written By Linda Mains

So I'm going to have a mind melting moment here, while not destroying pasts lovers feelings by telling them; "your a DOUCHE BAG!" I want to combine two subjects tonight. Hope you guys can handle it. No! I'm not writing a friking college easy, so I won't be doing any research on exact numbers. If you want exact facts and numbers, go to the National Geographic, or the History Channel for that. Look! I took political science and even the teacher said there is no science in politics. Basically to be able to run in politics, you won't be able to have a full time job, and Jamba juice probably doesn't pay enough for you to survive part time. So that fact took 80% or 90% of all Americans out of the running for President. Just joking, get your panties out of that knot, that I usually see them tied in!.

Alright America, I want to talk about social security and veterans. Didn't that sound really Presidential? Yes these two topics are one in the same. Your asking right now, I know you are...what does Social Security benefit's and Veteran's have in common? Well they both are sharing a very dark subject in common, and that subject is called death. I know everybody dies, with old people you know it's going to happen. But there is a very disturbing trend going on lately with our Veteran's. Maybe it's because, life is so utterly void of all hope for many of our men and women in uniform, when they come back home? Many I suspect, are coming home to joblessness, destroyed family life's and a life time of flash backs...mixed with mental problems. Add a little despair to salt this toxic depression salad, and you have the perfect combination of ingredients for a suicide cocktail. One night I was kicking it with my man on the couch, and he's a media hound. On one of the Democratic News Shows he is constantly watching. Don't ask me which one, I can't keep track of all the news he watches. Anyway, on one of the shows, the newscaster said; "16 to 20 something Veteran's a month in the U.S are committing suicide."

Hopelessness should be our decade theme, from 2011 to the end of this decade. We've been in a war or fighting in one for almost 16 years. Yep, that's about right...my son was born during a war, he's 18 now. Guess what? We're still in a war! It seems like there has been one war, after another, ever sense he was born. I for one, know I'm over all this fighting. I believe it is finally taking it's toll, on our military personnel. All those bombs, blood, more bombs, and more blood and death. How would anyone ever be able to come back and have any kind of normal life, after living threw not one, but two, three or four...I've heard threw the rumor mill, some military personel have seen 5 terms of service. Serving years in the military in active service. How could anyone ever be normal after that? Then these veteran's try to come home and get mental help but can't, because our beautiful country, thinks it's honorable to die while serving under our flag. The same flag that will go on their coffin's after they have been killed. But giving out the money to fix the mental problems that our country caused, by allowing anyone to serve in more then one tour of duty...is just asking for too much. Asking the Government to fix the problems, that they caused, by asking our service men and women to fight in un-winnable wars, over and over again. Doesn't that seem fair to you, because it doesn't to me!

Which coincides with Social Security. OK! So you, your friends, your family members, and every one that you happen to know. All of you, work all your lives in decent middle wage jobs. Now all of your life's you have put money into a system. A system that was supposed to look after you, once you became to old to work. So now what does your Government want to go and do, to everybody, whom will be the up and comers for Social Security? They want to take something, that everyone of us has been working to get for our entire life's. The Government wants to take away our Social Security, completely change it, and screw us all! How are they going to screw us? They want to throw Grams and Grandpa under the bus! How? Let's make Grams and Grandpa look for health insurance. But what if you have a pre-existing condition? Guess what? You won't be able to get any health insurance, and with out social security if you have cancer, your going to die! Now that's how these two subjects coincide with each other. Does everybody understand what I'm getting at? Look! Without social security and without mental care you might wind up committing suicide or dieing. Why? Because most people with cancer and mental disorders, won't be able to get the kind of job, that would make them able to receive health insurance. And even if they could get a great job, with great benefits. There is always that pre-existing condition thing, that most health insurance company's have going on. So you might not be able to see a Doctor anyway.
