OK, for all my loyal readers out there in reader land. I love you guys, you're the best! Um, for those of you, that don't know what's been going on with me, let me tell you exactly what's been going on. OK a couple of year's ago, I had an upper back tooth pulled. Now the dentist told me, that if I didn't get mini dentures, my bottom tooth would not have an opposing upper tooth, to stop it from growing. He went on to tell me, eventually, it would grow out of control, decay and it would have to be pulled. OK, so now you know, and for the last two-weeks, I have been in the worst pain, that I have ever been in. So with no dental insurance from my job, and not having a giant savings or dentist. I have had to scatter and hustle, a means to a way, of getting the help I desperately need. Now I met a Dr. this last weekend at a party, and I called him. He wrote me a prescription, for some killer antibiotic's, and they are killer because, they have been kicking my ass for the last two days. Fortunately, I actually found something in dental care. And since there is no way to save the tooth. I've decided to just go and get it pulled. Even though, going to the dentist, is my biggest and worst fear. So there's a clinic near my fathers house, that I have located, and my man, is taking me there at 7:00 AM in the morning, on Thursday. It's free, but, it is on a first serve, first come basses. I've already been told, by two other dentists, that there is no saving my two teeth, that have no opposing teeth to stop their growth. I'm bummed, but, not being in pain, is really what I'm going for at this point.
Which brings me to my second point; "why can't employer's or our Government, just give us health and dental care?" Why do we seem to care more about, what happens to someones pet, then we do about each other or our employee's, if, we are employer's?" Why is everything in America so DISPOSABLE? I know, I've heard of people, going that extra mile for that cat or dog that they own. But when was the last time you heard any of your friends, ever mentioning, how bad things where for a friend, a friend who simply couldn't afford to go to the Doctor or Dentist? I'll tell you, you never hear it, because, it' never happens! The only time anyone, will actually give a shit, about their co-workers or employees, is when their entire family was wiped out by a tornado or something. Or...maybe if their daughter's or son's have sickle cell anemia, or...some other debilitating, life threatening, terminal illness.
I've noticed that Americans are so self-centered, when the shit comes down, in regards to health care for any one person. A person whom often times, didn't care about anyone except themselves. You will never hear the end of their endless succession of pity party bullshit! Now I'm not crying, or bitching! I didn't even tell my boss, till today, that my tooth was off the hook, in regards to an infection, that I have. An infection which has been off the hook, for the last two weeks. Now I've been taking the pill called; suck it the F!ck up! Although, this tooth infection, and lack of insurance, has really given me something to write about. I really wonder, why Americans aren't being offered health care insurance? And why Republicans, don't want to support a health care bill? So as long as political fat-cats, and certain greedy S.O.B's in society, can afford their own health care. Then the hell with the rest of us whom can't, afford health insurance, and have to have all our teeth pulled out. Simply because the only type of dentistry, that we could afford, are the tooth butcher's type of dentistry! Doesn't that seem fair to you? It sure as hell doesn't seem fair to me! Or...we have to know a Doctor, to get the badly needed antibiotics that we need. To keep ourselves from dieing, because our government and employer's, will just get more citizens, to replace us, once we're dead? I realize, that I am living in a very uncaring culture, who's only real care is whether it's people, will continue to sacrifice their son's or daughter's to it's war machine. Or...weather it's people will continue to front the bill for the Governments constant increases in our taxes.
Look! I'm not asking for any hand outs! I still write my blog pro-bono. I still go to a job everyday; for the most part. Unless like this week...I'm just too sick to be there. I've raised a child, I've done my share. So when will Americans just be allowed to be treated like human beings, when they're sick? Without having to do any type of home remedies or witch doctor remedies? Or...have the threat of losing a job for missing days because of an illness or tooth ache? When will we all be able to go to the Doctor? Hopefully we will be able to simply prevent our untimely deaths, by preventing a cancer that we didn't know we had from spreading, simple because we had no access to see a Doctor. Or...by dying from a simple tooth infection, because, we couldn't afford or had no dental, to see a dentist in the first place. Don't Doctor's and Dentist's take oath's to help people, isn't the helping part, the real reason that many Doctor's and Dentist's became Doctor's and Dentist's in the first place? So when is our Government and our Doctor's and Dentist's, going to start caring more about people, and less about money? I believe...that seeing a Doctor or a Dentist is a basic human right! And anyone who is in pain, should be treated how the society for animals, treats dogs and cats, with compassion and love. There is not one person amongst us, who wants to be in pain. No one wants that for themselves or for their children. So can someone tell me, why our Government, cares so little about us as people, that they have made government health care, the last thing on their lists, up until now?
